KPI Green Energy Limited has achieved a significant milestone with the successful energisation of an additional 130 MW AC / 195 MW DC solar capacity under its 370 MW AC / 677 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Bharuch, Gujarat, India.
The project integrates solar and wind generation and is being developed under KPI Green Energy’s Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
With this latest achievement, the total energised capacity under the project has reached 269.7 MW AC / 389.7 MW DC, representing continued progress in India’s large-scale renewable energy development.
The expansion of hybrid renewable energy projects highlights the growing importance of combining solar power, wind energy, and advanced energy management solutions to enhance grid stability and support the global transition toward clean energy.
As Southeast Asia accelerates renewable energy adoption, similar developments in utility-scale solar, hybrid power generation, and energy storage are creating new opportunities across the regional energy ecosystem.
