China's New Energy Supply Chain Expands Further into Thailand
Date:2026-06-26
Chinese battery component leader Kedali has announced plans to invest up to RMB 350 million in a new manufacturing facility in Thailand.
The plant will produce high-precision mechanical components and control system products, with an expected annual output value of around RMB 700 million after reaching full capacity.
Why it matters:
- ASEAN continues to attract investment in EVs, batteries and advanced manufacturing.
- Thailand is strengthening its role as a regional manufacturing hub through initiatives such as Thailand 4.0 and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
- As more industrial projects come online, electricity demand is expected to grow—creating new opportunities for energy storage, renewable power procurement and smart energy solutions.
This growing connection between industrial investment and energy demand is becoming a key driver of ASEAN's energy transition.
At ASEE-ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo, we bring together stakeholders across energy, energy storage and advanced manufacturing to explore these emerging opportunities across ASEAN.
