Thailand’s Renewable Energy Market Gains New Momentum! Offshore Wind & Energy Storage Development Accelerates
Date:2026-05-29
Recently, EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand) announced that it will continue advancing Thailand’s first offshore wind power project, sending another strong signal of the country’s accelerating energy transition and renewable energy development.
Driven by Thailand’s Power Development Plan (PDP) and low-carbon development goals, the country is continuously strengthening:
- Renewable energy capacity expansion
- Energy storage systems and smart grid development
- Offshore wind and large-scale clean energy projects
- International green investment and technology cooperation
- ASEAN regional energy connectivity and energy security initiatives
As a key driver of Thailand’s clean energy development, EGAT is also serving as an official government supporting organization of
ASEE – ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo 2027, reflecting strong recognition from both government and industry toward ASEE’s role in advancing Thailand’s renewable energy, energy storage, and smart energy sectors.
ASEE 2027 will bring together government agencies, utilities, energy developers, EPC companies, manufacturers, investors, and industry associations to explore new opportunities in the ASEAN clean energy market and accelerate regional technology adoption and business collaboration.
March 17–19,
IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand
