The new entity is indirectly wholly owned within Xiaomi’s corporate structure and is widely viewed as a strategic move to further strengthen its positioning in the “three core EV systems” — battery, motor, and electronic control.

Based on publicly available information and its relatively moderate registered capital, the company is expected to focus primarily on battery pack (PACK) system integration, research and development, and supply chain coordination, rather than entering upstream battery cell manufacturing.

As competition in the global new energy vehicle industry continues to intensify, increasing control over core components has become a key strategic direction for major automakers and technology companies.
