ACEN and Yanara have secured a ₱2.3 billion project finance facility from Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) to support the construction of the 75 MW Sual Solar project in Pangasinan, Philippines.
The project, developed through Renovable Earth Corp., was selected under the Philippines’ Green Energy Auction Program 4 (GEA-4). Once operational, Sual Solar is expected to generate around 112 GWh of renewable electricity annually and supply power to approximately 69,000 households.
The financing marks another step in the development of utility-scale solar projects in the Philippines, as government auctions and private investment continue to support new renewable energy capacity.
With solar, energy storage, power electronics and smart energy projects expanding across Southeast Asia, the region continues to see new developments across the renewable energy sector.
These markets will be part of the focus at ASEE – ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo 2027, taking place 17–19 March 2027 at IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
