Advancing Regional Green Transition Together and Unlocking New Opportunities in Smart Energy— ASEE 2026 Press Conference

Date:2025-12-16

On December 15, the ASEE—ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo 2026 Press Conference was successfully held at InterContinental Bangkok. The event was co-organized by Compass Thailand and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, under the official advisory guidance of the Ministry of Energy of Thailand and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

The conference brought together industry leaders and experts from Thailand and across ASEAN in the fields of energy and energy storage. Through keynote presentations and a roundtable discussion, participants exchanged views on opportunities arising from ASEAN’s green energy transition and industrial environmental control, while highlighting the key features of ASEE 2026 and its latest international collaboration resources.

The event attracted over 100 distinguished guests, with keynote remarks delivered by Mr. Narong Vatcharasathien, Director of Business Development Division, EGAT; Mr. Suranart Phiphadkusolkul, Director of Exhibitions Department, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB); Ms. Sawita Tinsuntisook, Director and Public Relations, Thai Renewable Energy Association (RE100); Mr. Naroon Sooksmarn, Deputy Secretary-General, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry; Mr. Ronnavate Pothong, Manager, Thai IoT Association; and Mr. Wang Zhaoyun, Chairman of Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group.

Ms. Sarah Tse, Global Business Director, shared insights into ASEAN’s energy infrastructure and industrial cooling trends. She noted that Thailand’s Quick Big Win and EEP policies, together with manufacturing reshoring and digital economy growth, are driving rising demand for green energy and high-standard cleanrooms, with integrated solar, storage, and cooling solutions drawing strong interest from attendees.

The roundtable discussion focused on “Energy and Cooling Compliance Challenges for Data Centers, Battery Plants, and Semiconductor Manufacturing under EEP Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy Policies.” Speakers included Ms. Sawita Tinsuntisook (RE100), Mr. Arda Gunler (Siemens Energy Onshore Wind), Mr. Watana Issarapaichit (B2H Solar), Mr. Thanyathron Ruangwit (Best Direction System Co., Ltd), Mr. Sindhorn Jadmuang (Greendii Co., Ltd), and Ms. Piyanat Yosantia (Econexus Technologies Group Co., Ltd), who shared their perspectives and practical experience.

Speakers agreed that high-energy-consuming facilities require integrated energy and cooling system design to ensure compliance, reduce costs, and maintain stable operations, with efficient cooling and renewable energy solutions becoming key enablers of high-precision manufacturing and cross-sector collaboration.

Looking ahead to 2026, ASEE 2026 will be held alongside industry forums and targeted buyer-matching programs, further strengthening international cooperation and sustainable development in smart energy and energy storage across ASEAN.
