Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), a global leader in innovative new energy technologies, has officially signed an agreement to supply a 2.2 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for the largest solar + storage power plant project in Southeast Asia.

The project is located in the Philippines and is developed by Solar Philippines, the largest solar energy company in the country. It includes a 1,800 MW solar farm and an 1,800 MWh battery storage system. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the region’s clean energy landscape and reflects the growing trend of integrating large-scale battery systems to enhance renewable energy stability and grid reliability.

CATL’s state-of-the-art EnerC plus outdoor liquid cooling battery system will be adopted in this project. The system is renowned for its high energy density, high safety, flexible configuration, and long lifecycle, making it ideal for large utility-scale applications in challenging environments like Southeast Asia.

With this landmark project, CATL further solidifies its commitment to supporting Southeast Asia’s transition toward a sustainable energy future.

Amid the accelerating global energy transition, Southeast Asia is becoming a strategic hub for storage technologies and green power integration. Growing demand from data centers, ports, and urban renewable power drives regional cross-border energy collaboration. Singapore and Indonesia jointly promote a “Green Economic Corridor,” with the project expected to complete in 2027, transmitting green power to Singapore via subsea cables.

โครงการดังกล่าวตั้งอยู่ในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ โดยพัฒนาโดยบริษัท Solar Philippines ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทโซลาร์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศ มีขนาด 1,800 เมกะวัตต์ของโซลาร์ฟาร์ม และระบบแบตเตอรี่กักเก็บพลังงาน 1,800 เมกะวัตต์ชั่วโมง ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการพัฒนาพลังงานสะอาดของภูมิภาค และแสดงให้เห็นถึงแนวโน้มการรวมระบบแบตเตอรี่ขนาดใหญ่เพื่อเสริมสร้างเสถียรภาพของพลังงานหมุนเวียนและความน่าเชื่อถือของโครงข่ายไฟฟ้า

โครงการนี้จะใช้ระบบแบตเตอรี่ EnerC plus แบบระบายความร้อนด้วยของเหลวจาก CATL ซึ่งมีความหนาแน่นพลังงานสูง ปลอดภัยสูง ปรับแต่งได้ยืดหยุ่น และอายุการใช้งานยาวนาน เหมาะอย่างยิ่งสำหรับการใช้งานในระดับสาธารณูปโภคในสภาพแวดล้อมที่ท้าทายอย่างเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ด้วยโครงการระดับเมกะวัตต์นี้ CATL แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นอย่างแน่วแน่ในการสนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่พลังงานสะอาดอย่างยั่งยืนของภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
