As of May 2024, over 600,000 units of production capacity have been planned by Chinese companies, with 7 factories already set up.

 

Chinese EVs now hold 75% of the Thai market share.

 

Under Thailand's EV3.0 policy, import tariffs were cut by up to 40% in 2022–2023, with local production required in return.

 

April 2025 saw Thailand's domestic car sales grow 0.97% YoY — the first rise in nearly two years, signaling recovery.
