Accelerating the UK’s energy transition

TotalEnergies announces the acquisition of a pipeline of 8 solar projects (350 MW) and 2 battery storage projects (85 MW) from Low Carbon, a leading renewable energy developer.

Located in the south of England, these advanced-stage projects are expected to be operational by 2028—producing over 350 GWh/year of clean electricity, enough to power around 100,000 UK homes.

This acquisition strengthens TotalEnergies integrated electricity portfolio in the UK, which already includes:

1\ 1.1 GW of gross offshore wind capacity

2\ 1.3 GW of combined cycle gas generation

3\ Over 600 MW of solar projects under development

Daikin North America Headquarters Launches Nearly 1 MW Photovoltaic System

DAIKIN announced the completion of a nearly 1 MW solar array at its North American headquarters in Texas, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 845 metric tons per year, equivalent to removing nearly 200 cars from the road. This milestone is part of the NetZero 2030 goal and reflects Daikin's continued commitment to clean energy, sustainability and environmental innovation. The solar array powers a central chiller that manages 125,000 gallons of chilled water per year, helping to optimize energy use throughout Daikin's Texas Technology Park.

Kuwait's Energy Storage Revolution: Powering a Sustainable Future

Kuwait is accelerating its shift from oil dependency to renewable energy, aiming for 15% of its peak power demand from renewables by 2030. The Shagaya Renewable Energy Park, featuring 70 MW capacity with molten salt storage, exemplifies this transition. Global battery leaders are introducing advanced BESS solutions, bolstered by supportive policies and significant investments, including KPC's $110 billion net-zero initiative.
